Day 18

Welcome to Day 18 of the Purification Program.

As I have indicated over the last several days, you should really be enjoying this part of the program.  You should be feeling great, experiencing energy levels you may not have experienced for many years, and you should find that as many as 70% of the symptoms you experienced before embarking on this purification have now disappeared or at least minimized.

What has proven to be successful for a number of patients is to complete their new symptom survey and toxicity questionnaire somewhere around days 19 – 21.  Updating these and comparing the results to your initial results will help you realize how drastically different you are feeling and how your toxicity levels have changed over the last 3 weeks.  Please contact Dr. Carlson today and arrange to complete these.

While we are discussing how great you feel, let me pose a question?  Have you found this program to be of benefit to you?  If so, then why in the world are you not screaming this from the rooftops and telling all of your friends to go see Dr. Carlson?  Are you embarrassed?  Why not share your success and become an inspiration to your friends and family.

Weight Loss

Have you tried adding some time in the sauna to your workout?  Remember, sweating is the key to releasing those toxins and shedding those pounds.  Stay hydrated and make sure you are working up a sweat.  If you are walking on a treadmill for 30 minutes, but barely breaking a sweat, you are not receiving a good workout.  The key is to sweat, sweat, sweat!

Reminders

Remember to fill out your Daily Intake Journal in your Purification Booklet and note how you are feeling.  It is important that you develop this habit now, as you will want to continue this beyond the program as you reintroduce other foods into your diet.  This is an important part of identifying what foods might possibly be making you feel bad or that you might be allergic to.

Recipe of the Day

Roasted Chicken with Herbs

So easy and so fast. Serve with a vegetable or salad.

Calories: 337; Total Fat: 23g; Protein: 29g; Carbohydrate: 1g

Ingredients:

3 pounds broiler chicken, uncooked
1 tablespoon fresh sage (or dried)
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves (or dried)
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1 tablespoon fresh rosemary leaves (or dried)

Directions: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). If using fresh herbs, remove leaves with stems and chop. Combine minced garlic, thyme, rosemary, sage, salt and pepper in a small bowl. Wash chicken under cold water, trim excess fat and pat dry with paper towels. Starting at the neck cavity, loosen skin from breast and drumsticks by inserting fingers, gently pushing between skin and meat. Rub herb mixture under loosened skin. Place chicken in a shallow roasting pan coated with olive oil. Bake for about one hour. Cover loosely with cloth and let stand for 5–10 minutes before carving. Discard skin, carve and serve with a vegetable or salad.

SP Complete: 2 scoops (tablespoons) twice per day minimum up to 5 shakes per day
