Since 2007
Hi, I’m Dr. Allison Carlson—founder of Carlson Chiropractic and a passionate advocate for movement, healing, and human potential. Since graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2006, I’ve proudly served the Des Moines area since 2007, helping patients of all ages stay active, recover from injuries, and achieve their personal best—on and off the field.
With advanced certifications and specialties in sports injury recovery, functional movement, and pediatrics, I’ve become a trusted resource and lecturer for chiropractic colleges and the International Chiropractic Association both domestically and internationally. My professional credentials include a Diplomate in Clinical Chiropractic Pediatrics (DICCP), as well as certifications in Kinesiotaping (CKTP), Extremity Adjusting (CCEP), and Gait Analysis (CGA).
Whether I’m working with youth athletes, weekend warriors, or active seniors, my mission is the same: to help you move better, feel better, and live better—without limitations.
More Than a Chiropractor
Outside the office, I’m a marathon runner and triathlete, always chasing the next challenge. I’m married to Jason and a proud mom to four amazing kids—Glenn, Molly, Isaac, and Frank. I’ve been coaching my daughter’s competitive softball team since 10U, and I love spending time outdoors, learning new things, and seeking out new adventures as a family.
At Carlson Chiropractic, you’re not just a patient—you’re part of a community that believes in staying active, living fully, and unlocking your body’s full potential. I can’t wait to help you take your next step forward.
